Is Cloudways Worth the Price?

I've been in the blogging business for years, and I've never been as satisfied as I am with Cloudways, but I'm always looking for new and exciting hosting solutions.

Recently, I made a speed/value comparison between RunCloud and Cloudways. I was tinkering around with the idea of ditching Cloudways to save money on hosting, but I ultimately decided against it.

For the average blogger such as myself, Cloudways provides an overall better value. I'll break it down for you to see what I mean.

Cloudways vs. RunCloud Pricing

According to my study, Cloudways costs $12.44/month for one High-frequency Vultr server. On the other hand, one High-frequency Vultr server connected to RunCloud costs $13.84/month.

And here is a snapshot of RunCloud pricing plans.

Note that if you pay yearly, RunCloud costs $6.67/month.

Which is Cheaper?

Currently, I have 17 live production websites on my central Cloudways server, and I'm paying $26.00 USD for 2GB RAM.

Using RunCloud and Vultr, I would pay roughly the SAME price. Why not use the more all-in-one complete solution?

Why Not Just Use Vultr WordPress Application?

Each WordPress website with Vultr using 1GB RAM will cost roughly $6/month USD for an unmanaged website with bare minimum server control. For my 17 websites, this would cost approximately $100/month. Not my cup of tea if you ask me.

A cloud panel is required to manage the server for anyone who wants unlimited websites (or at least more than one).

Cloudways Is Faster Than Traditional Hosting

Not only is Cloudways faster than traditional shared hosting like HostGator, but its all-in-one solution means the average user won't even notice that it's technically a VPS. Everything is so simple and beginner-friendly!

Cloudways Pricing Is Similar to HostGator

Popular hosting providers such as HostGator are often touted as cheap. This is a misconception because those prices are introductory only. Looking at HostGator's price chart, Cloudways is actually CHEAPER in many ways.

Cloudways Critiques

Cloudways doesn't offer free email hosting, however, they do provide an affordable solution through Rackspace at $1/month. This is actually cheaper than other email solutions and is good enough for me.

Cloudways also doesn't offer a free CDN, however, they do provide a CDN solution for $3.99/month. With that said, this is a pretty good price. And keep in mind that most free CDNs are complete rubbish anyway.

Final Verdict Says…

Cloudways is 100% worth it. Cloudways provides an all-in-one VPS hosting solution FASTER and CHEAPER than much of the competition. Trust me, if I didn't think so, I wouldn't be using them myself!
